Location

TOULOUSE – The 4th largest city in France and its “Silicon Valley,” is known for its youthful, vibrant, and historically rich atmosphere. Located on the Garonne River, the “Rose City,” as it is called, is second only to Paris as a university town and contains more plazas and public places per square mile than any other city in the country.

Before exploring the capital of the Midi-Pyrénées region, students relax at Mas du Figuier, a lovely country house near Toulouse. There, during the orientation program, they begin language instruction, get acquainted with each other, and are familiarized with local customs and culture.

"I enjoyed the variety of the program: the countryside, the city of Toulouse, the Pyrenees, the return to Toulouse, and Paris at the end."
Domenica MacNaughton, Phillips Andover Academy
